Oak Creek Canyon
Yesterday my friends and I went down to Oak Creak in Sedona. I had never been there before, but some friends insisted on taking me. It was nice to get out of the Flagstaff area and to explore other places. If you have ever been in that area, you know what I’m talking about when I say how pretty the red rocks are. We all parked our cars and hiked down into the canyon to the creek. Although it was a little windy and the water was freezing, it was relaxing lying out on the rocks with my friends. I saw a few people I recognized there. I did not realize that this was a place people from school liked to go. In a couple weeks when it gets warmer, my friends and I are planning on going there to lie out and cool off in the water. My friends who regularly go down there have a tradition of stopping at the Dairy Queen on the way back. I plan on making that Dairy Queen trip a tradition for me too. I cannot wait until the weather gets warmer to go back.

Oak Creek Canyon is awesome. I love hiking and climbing out there, and pretty much anywhere around Sedona. If you want to see some really great "red rocks" head out to Las Vegas and go to Red Rock Canyon.
Hey! I too went to the creek for this first time over the weekend! I agree that it is absolutely gorgeous down there! The water is really cold and I didnt plan on getting in but fell in anyways! I'm glad you had fun!
